The model of training future specialists in public relations under the conditions of distance learning systems was developed and substantiated the research paper; the main purpose of this model is to build the competence of future PR specialists in the preparation of materials for PR activities. The influence of the following principles is characterized: systemacy and consistency, relationship of theory with practice, priority of humanistic values, democracy and individualization, self-discovery and self-development, a combination of competence, personality-centered, culturological, activity and axiological approaches in the process of learning and the application of scientific and methodological support in the distance learning system on the formation of competence of specialists in public relations. It has been determined that pedagogical conditions (value and motivational, organizational and methodical, content and technological) positively influence the increase in the effectiveness of training of future specialists in public relations through the development of the main components of competence in the preparation of materials for future professional activities by specialists in public relations: value, cognitive, technological, evaluation and effective. The stages of the formation of competence in the preparation of materials for PR-activities in the process of learning within the course process of professional training of future specialists in public relations.
