New legal sources for the study of the Andalusian Rural Society at the beginning of modern times: an aproximation to the contracts of work through the case of the construction of the Count Saint's Butchers in Morón de la Frontera (1551)
Abstract
Works contracts are a cornerstone for understanding the History of the construction. Although rares, works contracts treasure an enormous flow information, which is why this documental type has become an object of desire for many specialists interested in this emerging line of research. In this time we approach an excellent copy dating to the mid- sixteenth century from Moron de la Frontera and which was drafted on the occasion of the construction of the butcheries of IV Count of Ureña in the village. Far from any conceptual or methodological pretension, this paper presents an informative profile that want to put the document in context and so provide the reader with the correct apprehension.
