The use of vegetable oils from natural sources such as seeds, flowers or fruit in cosmetics technology is a way to promote the use of natural ingredients that can be processed in a responsible way and with less environmental impact. Vegetable oils are a greener alternative to many synthetic and chemical ingredients used in conventional cosmetics. This paper is focused on aspects related to the fatty acid composition of vegetable oils, their beneficial effects on the skin, their importance and use in cosmetics for obtaining sustainable products with multiple benefits
