(DES)CONSTRUIR PARA (RE)VITALIZAR?: a valorização do Capital e a resistência dos moradores do Morro da Providência na região portuária do Rio de Janeiro
Abstract
Presentation of results of the studies on the dynamics of urban renovation of Rio de Janeiro's port area, addressing tensions detected between different social actors and disputes of emphasized priorities in undertaken urban policy at that city. The work focus in the exchange of knowledge with local residents and the preparation of a dossier to support the struggle for the housing right, aiming to identify domination and contestation mechanisms used in different scales, as well as discuss methodological alternatives to consolidate the scientific support to resistant social movements to urban dispossession processes.
