Optimizing safe evacuation in mines: A method for selecting compensating measures based on microclimatic safety constraints during ventilation reversal
Abstract
The article describes a method of selecting measures that should make life safe for people during evacuation through ventilation shafts under the influence of cold air during main fan reversal. The approach is based on the allocation of dangerous sections of the evacuation route and the application of compensatory measures to ensure a comfortable stay for miners in these areas. The need to introduce a compensatory measure for each area considered is determined by the condition that the time a miner stays in this zone is greater than the time during which the microclimatic parameters of the air reach unacceptable safety levels. A principle has been proposed for introducing the least resource-intensive and financially-intensive measures based on the actual need to remove miners from the mine in a given time. The developed method and the underlying approach are applicable to mine ventilation systems of any type.
