We present a new electrophysiological method of registration ofkinesthetic evoked potentials (KEP) to passive radiocarpal articulationflexion for 50 with angular acceleration of 350 rad/s2,which is aimed at testing kinesthetic sensitivity in neurologicalpatients. KEP changes in the kinesthetic system lesions of varioustypes, levels, localizations and degrees are characterized bycertain specificity and reproducibility; therefore, this methodmay be used as a valuable additional diagnostic tool. The potentialof the KEP method in early diagnostics of the proprioceptivesensitivity disturbances is showed. The KEP method may beuseful in fine studies of neurophysiological mechanisms underlyingthe diseases with abnormal proprioceptive sensitivity andmotors functions.
