A construção do «hispanismo» na obra política de António Sardinha (1915-1925)
Abstract
The importance of « Hispanism » in António Sardinha’s (1887-1925) political thought has been drawing increasing attention among Portuguese Historiography. Thus, this article deals with questions and interrogations that, in recent decades, motivated, among others, the works of Paulo Archer de Carvalho and Sérgio Campos Matos. Without losing sight of these major contributions, it is the outlines of « Hispanism », its chronology, its capital role in Sardinha’s final political work, as well as its impact during his short lifetime, and beyond, that this article aims to revisit.
