Ischemic heart disease in Cuba. An update. 2015.

Abstract

Ischemic heart diseases are a group of diseases, most commonly atherosclerotic origin, affecting the coronary artery vessels and cause myocardial ischemia and myocardial tissue, whose clinical manifestations, mostly, are themselves a medical emergency. This article reviews the epidemiology of ischemic heart disease until 2013 and the prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors in Cuba.
