The article describes the results of the Chácara Cayres archaeological site excavation, in São Bernardo do Campo, State of São Paulo, Brazil. The site is part of an ancient family farm, built in the first half of 20th century, with a cellar to produce wine. The analysis of artifacts associated to the cellar structures, specially stoneware bottles, allow propose some possibilities to historical archaeology of São Paulo city, around immigration and bottles reuse. The Cayres Farm allow to question Brazilian technology of wine production and discourse about an important socioeconomic and cultural activity of São Paulo state, the production of wine by European immigrants.
