The economic crisis triggered by the pandemic and continued by the economic recession resulting from the geopolitical conflict worsened in 2023, generating a series of economic bottlenecks and reduced growth rates in European economies amidst financial banking instability. Currently, the social economy is analysed in direct connection with rising unemployment and inflation. As a result, the analysis in the paper is focused on finding solutions in order to recover the social economy by increasing employment and social inclusion. The statistical information come from the EU official statistical database Eurostat. The results will be useful for the identification of social policies for the recovery of the European social economy and will highlight the main directions for its sustainable development.
