Resource Allocation Problems in Information Security Strategy Planning Process

Abstract

We analyse the resource allocation problem arising in the context of information security strategy planning. The information security risk assessment method proposed by the author in his previous work serves as a base for a more dynamic parameterized model. This allows the optimal information security investment strategy to be determined by means of mathematical programming methods. The present part of the paper contains theoretical aspects of the method, while the second one will contain an application example.
