Identifikasi Deksametason dalam Jamu Pegel Linu dengan Metode Kromatografi Lapis Tipis dan Spektrofotometri UV-Vis
Abstract
Identification of dexamethasone has been done on herbal medicine and heal pains are getting warn the public of BPOM. There are 3 herbs and heal pains were getting warn the public of BPOM. Having carried out a survey in a nearby market found only 2 kinds of herbs, Amuraten and Cap Madu Klanceng. The identification is done by Thin Layer Chromatography and UV-Vis Spectrophotometry. Early identification using thin layer chromatography method in order to see whether or not the content is still dexamethasone in herbal medicine. For the mobile phase using a mixture of ethanol and chloroform the ratio of 1: 9. Then for confirmation using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. For the reference solution using a mixture of methanol and distilled water in the ratio 1: 1. Thin Layer Chromatography with experimental reference standard gives a bright yellow staining when viewed visually and gives a yellow fluorescence when viewed with a 366 nm UV light with Rf values of 0.88 and 0.9. Then the possibility of herbal medicine is not dexamethasone. Measurement results with UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 200-400 nm obtained the highest adsorbant at a wavelength of 236-252 nm of 3.1555. While the sample herbs adsorbant Amuraten highest at a wavelength of 204 nm of 0.45 and sample herbs adsorbant Cap Madu Klanceng highest at a wavelength of 220 nm of 0.087. From experiments with Thin Layer Chromatography and UV-Vis spectrophotometry can be concluded that the samples did not contain dexamethasone.
