OLINDO GUERRINI E LA STORIA DI DUE CONCORSI POETICI DEL TOURING CLUB

Abstract

Tra la fine dell’Ottocento e i primi anni del Novecento intorno alla bicicletta fiorisce una cospicua messe di versi italiani e latini. Il contributo tenta di ricostruire con precisione i contorni storici di due testi poetici estravaganti di Olindo Guerrini di argomento ciclistico, legati a due concorsi poetici del Touring Club Italiano (1899 e 1900). Vengono inoltre fornite nuove notizie sulle prime sconosciute o poco note poesie in lingua latina dedicate alla bicicletta da Gian Battista Giorgini, da Mauro Ricci e da Luigi Graziani. Between the late 19th and the early 20th century around the bicycle blooms a large number of Italian and Latin verses. The contribution aims to define with precision the historical contours of two poetic lyrics by Olindo Guerrini on cycling subject, linked to two poetic competitions of the Italian Touring Club (1899 and 1900). New information is also provided on the first overlooked or little-known poems in Latin dedicated to the bicycle by Gian Battista Giorgini, Mauro Ricci, and Luigi Graziani.
