Orta Sakarya Havzasında Sarıcakaya, Mihalgazi ve İnhisar İlçelerinde Tarımsal Arazi Kullanımı

Abstract

The area, located in the transition zone between the Black Sea Region and the Central Anatolia Region, is a tectonic depression. There are important agricultural areas in the bottom of the depression and its immediate surroundings, especially in the central part of the field. The aim of this research is to reveal the agricultural land use of the area and to provide planning suggestions for development. Mixed research method was used in the study. In order to determine agricultural problems, interviews were held with the personnel of the institutions/organizations in the field and the public. Vegetable and fruit farming is concentrated in the fertile agricultural areas in and around the depression base, which has a significant potential in terms of agricultural land use, and grain farming is concentrated in the eroded plains in the higher areas. Addressing the effects of natural and human resources in the field on agricultural land use, solutions to other problems identified, such as migration and the inability to attract agricultural industry to the area, were sought and planning suggestions regarding agricultural land use were presented.
