Transformer les pratiques muséales au Cameroun grâce à la visualisation 3D
Abstract
Following the temporary exhibition “Contact(s) Zone. Penser le Musée national comme lieu de relation, espace du lien” (“Contact(s) Zone. Thinking the National Museum as a space for relationships and links”) held in 2021 at the Musée national du Cameroun, a study of the impact of a 3D visualisation of this exhibition was undertaken. The analysis of this pilot project highlights the advantages of such modelling as a tool for the National Museum and its institutional players, whether in terms of the museum’s modernisation program, the organisation of its museographic itinerary or its exhibitions. As a reflexive tool, this work aims to bring to light both certain practical difficulties and the positive prospects associated to the implementation of digital projects. The goal is to provide a relevant analytical framework and take a fresh look at how professionals work and how knowledge is built up in the field.
