Biofeedback technology in modern otorhinolaryngology
Abstract
The article shares the key epidemiological data on the prevalence of neurotic disorders in ENT practice. The relationship of psycho-emotional disorders with cochleovestibular disturbances and upper respiratory tract paresthesia is demonstrated. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of biofeedback techniques in multimodal treatment of 66 patients complaining of lump in throat, tinnitus aurium and/or dizziness against the background of changes in the psychosomatic status and failure of the previous conservative or surgical treatment. The study found that biofeedback helps to significantly reduce pathological symptoms, decrease the associated neurotic symptoms and the frequency of repeated visits.
