The inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry method (ICP-EAS) is proposed for the determination of boron in Troia water sources. In this study, boron samples were taken from 25 different locations during November 2002 and May 2003. The 249.773 nm boron emmision line was not affected by the sample matrix. The boron content was determined without further pretreatment of samples proposed ICP-AES method. An analysis of a given sample was completed in about 15 min. The determined boron concentrations in surface and ground water sources were between 0.00444–1.11200 mg l-1. In order to compare the results obtained by the proposed method, selected water samples were also analysed titrimetically. Pearson correlation coefficient analysis showed that there is a close relationship between the ICP-AES and the titrimetric method and the determination coefficient (R2) was calculated to be 91.34 %.
