In this article the importance of humanistic education, the teaching profile and policy foundation as fundamental features that must have educational actors to develop and encourage a culture of peace in schools is discussed. Moreover, the paradigm of ethnography of peace with which the investigation was conducted and presented some negative attitudes that hinder teachers and promote the culture of peace in the school described is pointed. Finally a reflection on the importance of taking teachers' professional commitment with positive attitudes such as empathy, to promote the comprehensive development of students is made.
