Introduction: the COVID-19 pandemic made the face-to-face modality impossible, so virtual media known as Virtual Teaching-Learning Environments were used, made possible thanks to Information and Communication Technologies. Objective: to describe the use of the Virtual Health Classrooms by the students of the Universities of Medical Sciences. Method: an updated bibliographic search of the subject was carried out, in the period between 2019 and 2023, Google Scholar was used as a search engine to locate the articles. Databases such as SciELO, Ebsco and Pubmed were consulted and 20 articles were selected. Development: the Virtual Health Classrooms are supported by the Moodle platform, they are used by teachers and students in the training process; there is still dissatisfaction among the students. Universities of Medical Sciences relied on the platform during distance learning. Medical science students take exams, scientific events and submit teaching assignments through the virtual classroom. Conclusions: Its use has increased in students and educators, it is necessary to create strategies to increase knowledge about the Virtual Classroom. The professors of the Medical Sciences careers incorporate the Virtual Health Classroom of the corresponding territory into the development of their classes, workshops and seminars, creating links between classical and modern pedagogy.
