The present study aimed to evaluate the anthropometric profile, body image and sexual maturation, athletes of different sports, female, from Chapecó/SC. We evaluated 34 athletes, female, aged between 12 and 16 belonging to three sports (volleyball, handball and futsal). Body image was assessed according to the scale proposed by Stunkard silhouettes, considering the variation between the actual profile and the ideal profile. The assessment of sexual maturation (self -assessment) according to the Tanner stages, age at menarche was identified through individual interviews and% BF was obtained by the equation of Lohman (triceps + subscapular). The study followed the rules of Resolution CNS 196/96. The data indicate that 31 of the 34 players are evaluated in pubertal stage and the third stage athlete’s post- pubescent mammary development. As for the development of pubic 32 athletes are on stage 2 puberty and athletes in the post - pubescent. In relation to body image 15 athletes presented themselves satisfied , 15 athletes were classified as dissatisfied by overweight and 4 were considered dissatisfied with thinness . As refers to the % F can be said that their mean values were within the parameters set for age and sex. It is concluded that the importance of studies in adolescent athletes, enabling it to expand discussions on anthropometric variables, body image and sexual maturation, and how these can influence the performance in sports training.
