AUTOPSIA DI UN TESORO DI GUERRA: UN’ORCHESTRA MILITARE OTTOMANA
Abstract
Il laboratorio di ricerca del Musée de la Musique, attivo fi n dall’apertura del museo nel 1998, intraprende, da molti anni, una fi tta rete di collaborazioni, in Francia ed oltreconfi ne, con istituzioni ed enti di ricerca. Gli obiettivi sono molteplici, dal semplice utilizzo di strumentazioni, a progetti di ricerca innovativi, sperimentazioni di nuove tecniche d’indagine e studi sulla conservazione preventiva degli oggetti e delle collezioni. ABSTRACT The Musée de la Musique organized the 12th of April 2013 a study-day entitled: Dans la Venise Musicale du XVIIe siècle. Autopsie d'un trésor de guerre: un orchestre militaire, to discuss the historical context and the scientific analyses carried out on some instruments of the Correr Museum collection. The 39 musical instruments, belonged to a military band (Mehter also called Janissary) that was brought as war chest in Venice in 1690 by the admiral Francesco Morosini. The study day was the result of a one-year research that took place in 2012, in collaboration with the Correr Museum and the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
