Patients suffering from terminal oncological diseases come to present varying symptoms secondary to the extent of the disease that can be difficult to control, causing them to suffer in the final stage of life. The objective of this clinical case was to highlight the importance of palliative sedation since, when initiated and indicated in a correct and timely manner with the recommended doses of drugs, the refractory symptom is controlled, thus avoiding agony at the end of life, all these without modifying the patient’s survival.
