Shigellosis Febrile Status Epilepticus

Abstract

A 4-year-old boy who became blind, deaf and mute after status epilepticus caused by hyperpyrexia from shigellosis is reported from the Sophia Children’s Hospital, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
