Dynamique des réseaux de mobilité étudiante entre pays du Sud : attractivité, compétitivité et multipolarité
Abstract
International student mobility between Southern countries does not result solely of isolated and one-off choices between countries but is embedded in the overall dynamics of the exchanges that exist within this mobility. It thus constitutes a true global structure whose organization obeys the nature of the ties that are woven between countries, and is influenced by various factors related to these countries. It is in this sense that we will rely on structural analysis methods for relational data in order to achieve a double objective. First, we highlight poles of attractiveness, migratory circuits, effective or potential agreements and, secondly, we focus on some specificities and similarities in countries characteristics, which may be significant in the dynamics of the relations they establish. We try to show that beyond intraregional facts, there are real interregional and intercontinental mobility, as well as dispersion phenomena, underway of emergence or becoming assertive, bringing insights on the changing panorama of higher education in the South and the positioning of the states policies in this evolution.
