ANTONYMIE DANS LES DISCOURS SPÉCIALISÉS
Abstract
Notre hypothèse de travail est que l’antonymie se présente comme un phénomène qui transgresse le niveau de la composante phrastique, en s’installant dans la composante discursive. Elle nous apparaît comme une relation qui se manifeste à plusieurs niveaux de structuration du langage, depuis le niveau lexical jusqu’au texte, en passant par la phrase et par le discours (l’énoncé). La problématique de l’antonymie dans les langages de spécialité consiste dans le fait que le niveau de la langue actualise assez rarement des oppositions dans ce domaine. Ce qui doit être pris en considération, c’est justement cette composante discursive qui permet l’apparition des oppositions antonymiques, non-actualisées en surface par des lexèmes, mais justifiables au niveau des prédicats sémantiques subsistant en profondeur. Les divers mécanismes qui peuvent engendrer cette relation (négation polémique, oxymore, antiphrase) facilitent la production des antonymes entre des termes de spécialité.ANTONYMY OF SPECIALIZED DISCOURSEOur working hypothesis is that antonymy is a phenomenon which goes beyond the level of the phrastic component by encompassing the discursive component. It appears as a relationship manifest at several levels of language structuring, from the lexical level to the text, including the phrase and the discourse (the speech). The problem with antonymy in the field of specialized languages lies in the fact that oppositions are only rarely contextualized by the level of language. What has to be taken into account is precisely the discursive component which allows for the oppositions to take place: they are not contextualized by lexemes in the surface structure, but they can be justified at the level of the semantic predicates which subsist in the deep structure. The various mechanisms which can trigger this relationship (polemic negation, oxymoron, antiphrasis) facilitate the production of antonyms among specialized terms.
