Tibial epithelioid hemangioendothelioma
Abstract
Epithelioid hemangioendotheliomas (EHE) represent less than 1% of all bone tumors. They often present in the long tubular bones or in the axial skeleton, but are often multifocal in nature and can present in the liver and lung. This paper presents a case of EHE in a 51-year old man with multifocal disease in the tibia and liver with lung nodules highly suspicious for metastases. Use of immunohistochemical markers such as CAMTA1 are essential to differentiating EHE from its histologic mimics.
