Abstract

Just as information technology (IT) projects have a poor track record in meeting projects schedules, they also have a poor track in project cost management. Information technology project are expensive and known for coming in way over budget, when they are completed at all. In this article, important factors in over budgeting of IT projects costs are investigated and then a practical guide to solve this problem is provided.
