Abstract

This is the edited and translated version of the article by Max Margules “Über Temperaturschichtung in stationär bewegter und in ruhender Luft” (On temperature stratification in resting and non-accelerated moving air), which was published in 1906 in the “Hann-Volume” of the Meteorologische Zeitschrift (p. 243–254), a volume dedicated to the 40 year anniversary of Hann's editorship of the journal.
