Twitter fait-il parler les territoires ? Retour d'expériences à partir des tweets autour de l’attentat du 14 juillet 2016 à Nice

Abstract

Does the analysis of social media reactions allow us to study interactions between territories? We tackle this issue by discussing the results of an investigation on tweets reacting to the attack of 14th July 2016 at Nice, aiming to show territorial scientific uses of Twitter data, their limits and benefits. This study falls within the current emerging domain of digital tracks in geography. It foreshadows future interesting works in a context of evolution of social media data, uses and users.
