A series of English activities for developing third-year university students’ lingua-socio-cultural competence in listening comprehension while self-studying with authentic videos
Abstract
This paper presents a series of English activities “Modern American art” for developing third-year university students’ lingua-socio-cultural competence in listening comprehension while self- studying and watching three authentic videos. The educational, lingua-socio-cultural, developmental, educative, and professional objectives are defined. The suggested activities are performed by students while their extracurricular self-studying with authentic videos at pre- watching, while-watching, and after-watching stages.
