CLIL AND PBL APPLICATION IN TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES TO TOURISM STUDENTS IN ORDER TO FORM GENERAL THEIR CULTURAL COMPETENCIES
Abstract
The paper discusses some issues of teaching English to Tourism students, which arouse as a result of introducing new educational standards, and discusses the ways to form students’ general cultural competences by using some elements of CLIL (content and language integrated learning) and PBL (problem-based learning) approaches in order to meet the requirements of those standards. It shows the effectiveness of the said methods in terms of meeting the students’ needs and high school requirements.
