CONCEPTUAL REFERENCE POINTS AND POLITICAL-LEGAL HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SECURITY AND NATIONAL DEFENCE POLICY

Abstract

The Republic of Moldova is on the way to development and implementation of a real security policy, which can be initiated on a conceptual and legislative basis. Existing legal documents allow an overview on the security vision, interests, objectives and mechanisms of implementing security and defense policy of the Republic of Moldova. However, the current security environment, as well as the dangers coming from within the state, require the revision and reconceptualization of the political and legal framework of the national security of the Republic of Moldova. For ensuring a clear strategic vision requires the defining of the basic concepts that contribute to the formulation of an explicit national security policy.
