Highlights The combination of LSM and PECVD deposited SiOx layers was used in order to enhance corrosion and adhesion properties Enhanced delamination resistance was observed through a radial corrosion process Surface analytical and electrochemical methods were used to examine the role of ultra-thin interfacial SiOx films
