The aim of the publication is to present contemporary human resource management in organizations. The concept of organization and its types is discussed. In addition, attention was paid to the management process and functions of modern managers, as well as innovative human resources managementin organizations. The correlation between knowledge management and human resource management is indicated. It was emphasized that the implementation of innovative management requires changes in personnel management. It was pointed out that the higher level of socio-economic development of the organization raises a greater interest of the board in the implementation of new methods and managementtechniques. Furthermore, it was proposed that management by innovation should be the organization's response to the diagnosis of areas of business that require improvement. The issues discussed in the publication are particularly relevant in the Polish practice of the organization and need in-depth analysis.
