Investigating the use of translation as a learning strategy of English learners in Can Tho city
Abstract
This study aims at investigating the use of learning strategies related to the translation by English learners in Vietnam and, at the same time, exploring whether the use of translation differs based on learners’ different English proficiency levels. Analysis of data from the questionnaire reveals that most of the participants used translation-related strategies in learning English. Based on the findings of the study, some recommendations for teaching English in Vietnam were made.
