Atypical presentation of leiomyosarcoma of the upper lip: A case report of wide local excision
Abstract
A 48-year-old male with a large histologically proven leiomyosarcoma of the left upper lip underwent wide local excision and local advancement flap reconstruction, without adjunctive radiation or chemotherapy. A review of the literature reveals the need for standardised criteria in the diagnosis of leiomyosarcoma by histopathological features.
