Urban segregation in Major Izidoro city: the case of Fatima's neighborhood in comparison with the earth Milk Allotment / Segregação urbana na cidade de Major Izidoro: o caso do Bairro de Fátima em comparação com o loteamento Terra do Leite
Abstract
The work consisted in evaluating the urban segregation in the city of Major Izidoro - Alagoas, analyzing the cases of Bairro de Fátima and the Terra do Leite subdivision in the variations of their urban landscapes marked by segregation. The study was based on the methodology of Silva et al (2017) and Oliveira et al (2017) that based on primary data analyzed the performance of producing agents and the generation of unequal areas in small cities. The literature review helped us to understand the social and economic issues of both neighborhoods, as well as their formation, organization, development and state intervention through works and public policies. We note that the city is fragmented when a sustainable and intelligent management is not opportune generating spaces of little democracy, landscape marked by unjust and intense differences and fragility of social rights. In short, the city of Major Izidoro is fragmented and articulated, a reflection and social conditioning, that is, the same schemes that prevail in the large cities of the capitalist world.
