Etnografando na cidade: práticas, narrativas e construções simbólicas sobre o Turismo no Centro Luiz Gonzaga de Tradições Nordestinas - RJ

Abstract

The research aims to introduce some considerations about “Luiz Gonzaga Center for Northeastern Traditions”, a tourist attraction located in Rio de Janeiro. The Center was created in 2003 when the old “São Cristóvão Street Market” (Feira de São Cristóvão) was transferred to “São Cristóvão Pavillion”. Reflections about subjectivity in social research are registered in this paper, as well as a description of the ways that took me to this research object and some preliminary considerations related to tourism in that place.
