In order to solve the problem of low coherent signal DOA estimation accuracy and low resolution in low signal to noise ratio, this paper proposes a DOA estimation algorithm for coherent signal under low SNR. This method mainly uses the advantages of spatial smoothing algorithm and ES-MUSIC algorithm. Coherent signals are decohered through spatial smoothing, and then ES-MUSIC algorithm is used to estimate DOA. In this paper, the DOA estimation success probability, DOA estimation mean square error and DOA estimation successful resolution are compared. The test results show that compared with the traditional method, the proposed method has higher DOA estimation accuracy and resolution at low signal to noise ratio.
