The Physical Education has been changing throughout its history both in its nomenclature and its purpose. The interest on the Stage in Supervised Physical Education, discipline of a higher percentage in the curriculum of the course, aroused doubts about its methodology, its practical implementation, supervision and guidance to the course of its implementation. The Stage Supervised should be a moment of reflection of educational performance, time to relate the knowledge gained in IES (Higher Education Institutions) with the actual situation on stage. The study aimed to find evidence in the literature and answers to clarify issues regarding the supervised practice. In the discussions and results was possible to verify many views in terms of the contribution supervised vocational training, positive and negative aspects that strengthen the idea that transcends the bureaucratic supervised, it is a collaborator and essential tool for the Vocational Training Physical Educator. As proposed for the situation found, we suggest the creation of a "core of Stage" in the IES that guides the student-trainee on issues regarding of the supervised and its achievement.
