The agrarian question map in the Microregion of Erechim/ RS, Brazil: implications of economic evolution in territorial dynamics of family agriculture

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze in details the discussion about aspects of agrarian question in the North of Rio Grande do Sul in order to contribute to the challenge expressed in the institutional policy of Federal University of Southern Frontier (UFFS) in generating knowledge to change the hegemonic productive matrix and to guide paths that glimpse ecologically engaged ways of produce and live. Therefore, as a methodological procedure, we present graphical and cartographic representation of official socioeconomic, and demographic data in order to offer a spatialized reading that allows to readers understand the contradictions of agrarian question in the studied region, as well as presents the positive role of the ONGs acting in the microregion.
