Training of primary teachers in the integration of faith in the Romanian language class
Abstract
This qualitative action research study, employing a case study approach, explores the integration of faith into teaching practices within Romanian Adventist schools, aiming to enhance both intellectual and creative student development through a biblical lens. Utilizing Interpretativist and Socio-Constructivist paradigms, the research combines multiple qualitative methods—observations, semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and experiential journals—to examine how faith integration impacts students’ critical thinking and the learning environment. The findings underscore the significance of deliberate planning and teacher roles as facilitators and role models in embedding faith throughout all phases of education (pre-training, during training, and post-training). The study highlights the important role of teacher commitment to ongoing improvement and provides insights into effective strategies for integrating faith into teaching practices, ultimately contributing to a more holistic and enriching educational experience.
