La ciudad flotante: Novecento de Alessandro Baricco y La Leggenda del pianista sull’oceano de Giuseppe Tornatore
Abstract
Along this presentation, the concept of city of the main character from Alessandro Baricco's monologue Novecento is analysed. The main character is on board of a ship, the Virginian, during all the adventure. After showing us the literary vision of a particular reality, we will see how the director Giuseppe Tornatore has dealt with these representative features of the theater monologue in his cinematic version La leggenda del pianista sull'Oceano.
