Studies of fruit and seed biometrics are an important tool for the characterization of seed vigor and viability. In addition, it also contributes to the knowledge of the reproductive process, provides subsidy for seedling production and helps in understanding the process of natural regeneration. Thus, this work was developed with the objective of evaluating the biometry of fruits and seeds of Sesbania virgata collected in the city of Vitória da Conquista - BA. The study was conducted at the State University of Southwest of Bahia. One hundred mature fruits were collected from ten matrix trees of Sesbania virgata, randomly, to perform the biometry. The evaluated characteristics were: length, width and thickness measured in the median line of fruits and seeds with the aid of a digital caliper. The data were submitted to descriptive analysis, obtaining the respective means, median, fashion and standard deviation. There were changes in the morphological characteristics of the fruits and the seeds of Sesbania virgata collected in the city of Vitória da Conquista-BA, being important to carry out new studies with the species.
