FEMINISM IS A FARCE:SPEECHES ABOUT FEMINIST REPRESENTATION IN BRAZIL DURING CONQUEST BY SUFFRAGE ON YOUTUBE

Abstract

he purpose of this article is to identify and analyze the negative discursive construction contained in the video “Do you really owe feminism the right to vote, work and study? I don't think so”, published on the YouTube channel “Direto aos Fatos”. Based on the concept of demonumentalizationof history (NAPOLITANO, 2007), we want to understand what problems are inserted in the video narrative whose theme addresses the history of the Brazilian feminist movement active between the 19th and 20th centuries in the search for the approval of femalesuffrage.
