This article aims to demonstrate the relevance of using the field of geopolitics for the analysis of conflicts in cyberspace. It proposes to study the evolution of the concept of cyberspace in strategic terms up to the notion of datasphere, illustrating the variety of representations when considering this new space and the power struggles that exist around it. It also highlights the methodological challenges faced by the discipline in studying this constantly evolving space.
