The dynamic responses of cylindrical indexing cam mechanism are studied. Dynamic equations of this system considering clearance and flexible - axles are established and solved with finite difference method. The results show that maximum angular acceleration of cam follower increases 24.3% , and the fluctuation of angular velocity of camshaft is high frequency and amplitude reaches 3.2% . These provide foundation for designing high - speed cam mechanism.
