Estrategias creativas ecológicas en ubimus y su relación con los contextos cotidianos: implicaciones de la obra Atravessamentos

Abstract

Creative practices grounded in ecological cognition comprise one established line within ubiquitous music research (ubimus). Its strong relationship with local resources and relational perspectives render this approach a useful tool to expand the creative usage of environmental sounds. This paper analyzes the results of a multimodal artistic project involving asynchronous technological support. The videodance Atravessamentos is studied as exemplifying the use of synthesis and audio processing techniques and as an example of intermodal and multimodal strategies –cognitive dissonances, organization of textural densities, ecological modeling, and mimetic relationships. We highlight the use of biophonic gridworks to establish spatial and temporal reference systems that enable collaborative aesthetic decisions.
