Validation of a sexual health program with a gender focus by expert method
Abstract
Introduction: The sexual health is since a fundamental aspect in the life of people it influences in a decisive way from the physical, mental and emotional point of view for what constitutes a factor that contributes to the personal well-being. Objective: Determine the theoretical and methodological validity of the program with a gender approach proposed by the National Center of Mental Health. Material and Methods: I study quantitative, traverse, descriptive of validation of the program proposed by means of the method of experts in three levels. The sample was constituted by 15 specialists with high certain competition level for Cruz's procedure and Martinez; statistical tools were also used as the Coefficient Alpha of Cronbach and the Coefficient of Agreement of Kendall. Results: The reliability and consistency of the applied instrument is high. Differences were verified statistically significant of the components evaluated by the experts; above 99 % for the therapeutic team, the objectives of the program, the conceptual foundations and the execution of the objectives; to 99 % for the methodological indications and the attributes of the program, between 95 and 98 % the evaluations of the sessions, the coherence between the carried out content-objective-activities and the used techniques, respectively. Conclusions: The high theoretical and methodological validity of the program of sexual health was determined with gender focus proposed with the favorable consent of the experts consulted about its structure, contents and obtained results.
