Philosophy of the city in Ukraine – citizens` right to participate in municipal management for example Sumy

Abstract

The article is devoted to the process of city`s stay, forming communities and citizens thinking urban transformation, from the mythology of the ancient world. It describes the historical typology of cities, and the city-state. There are features of the formation of Ukrainian citizens` consciousness from the era of Kievan Rus to the present. Author studied the relevance to Ukraine issues of historical experience transforming the perception of city domestic society. On the basis of the prevailing personality type «homo soveticus» author proposed conclusions about modern model of perception of the city Ukrainian citizen. There are motivational characteristics of interpersonal relations in the governance structure of modern Ukrainian city. For objectivity presentation material author used the publication of the media and scientific research articles. By the example of Sumy city, we have conclusions and submitted proposals on further processes of formation and development of open civil society in urban areas of our country on the basis of implementation in the minds of contemporary principles of responsible citizen that affects the management of the city.
